Story: Engineering student Sanju (Sundeep Kishan) smitten by his class mate Tanvi (Regina Cassandra) make friendship with her. After some time when he proposes to her, she asks for some time. Both of them looks as sworn enemies to their friends but have one thing in common. They don’t have great impression about marriage. Whether Tanvi reciprocates Sanju’s love and will it lead to marriage has to be enjoyed on silver screen.
Performances: Sundeep Kishan improved a lot in this film. He suited the character very well. He tried to imitate Pawan Kalyan in attires and mannerisms in some scenes. Regina Cassandra looked inspirited and beautiful compared to SMS (2012). She did well. She has got cute smile and has expressive eyes. Track between Sundeep, Snighda & gang is entertaining. The characterizations of Tagubothu Ramesh & MS Narayana could have been better. Jhansi and Chandra Mohan are okay with their small roles.
Technicalities: Story of the film is very regular. Screenplay of the film in first half is good and it’s gone loopy in second half. Dialogues are partly good in this film. Music by Mickey J Meyer is good. Mickey’s BGM is okay. Re-recording of the film is also good. Cinematography by Suresh Bhargav is okay. He could have shot the Rafting scene better. Editing could have been crispier. Though it’s a 124 minutes movie looks a bit long on screen. Production values are fine.
Survi Verdict: First half of the film is routine fun. Second half could have been better. Lots of characters in this film were not given proper finishing. Positives of RLS are Lead cast, First Half & Songs. On the Flip side Routine stuff & Slow narration. On the whole, Routine Love Story a flat-out entertainer, targeted at teenagers.
