Mission Impossible 1st and 2nd Parts were not even EXCITING, but were having the EFFECTIVE scripts. Though 3rd part was OKAY, but collected good due to hype generated by the First two flicks in the series. The 4th installment of the Mission Impossible has an exciting STORY LINE that fails to stir throughout. The Screenplay by Appelbaum and Neme is engaging in the FIRST HALF but lags a lot later in the second half, which makes the 132 min run time look pretty long Dialogues were Okay. The characterizations were not fully built. Micheal Giacchino’s Music is PROFICIENT. Direction by Brad Bird rocked with the first half and all the action episodes but failed to narrate the storyline in the effective way later. Robert Elswit’s CINEMATOGRAPHY was fabulous. Visual Effects were STERLING. Editing could have been crispier. Production values were good.

Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) lifts the whole movie on his shoulders. He was brilliant in every scene and Fantastic in the action episodes. Especially loved the Burj Khalifa cliffhanger sequence (This is worth watching on IMAX screen). Paula and Simon Pegg were good. Jeremy Renner was apt as Brandt. Michel Nyqvist and Valdimir Mashkov were Okay. Anil Kapoor who was going gaga over his char in MI4, but it was just a small role and which he justified. The Rest of the cast was supportive…

Overall, Mission impossible starts off marvelously, lags a lot in the second half. Positives of MI4 are Tom Cruise, Action Episodes, First Half, High Technology Gadgets used. On the flip side it’s Lagging Second Half, Runtime, Editing, and Half Boiled Characterizations. On the whole, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is not that entertaining and exciting as first two parts but better than the 3rd installment of MI. Movie worth giving a shot for Tom Cruise and Technical stuff showcased in the flick, worth your 2D ticket…

The first six minutes of The Dark Knight Rises aka Batman 3 will be shown in front of of IMAX screenings of Mission Impossible 4 (Max. in every IMAX), but which was not showcased in IMAX, Hyderabad. If you are non-Hyderabadi get into the screening before the show starts as far as the buzz is concerned the prologue is incredible.
