Devi Sri Prasad’s Dhada (2011) Audio Review

Naga Chaitanya who is riding high on back to back hits Ye Maya Chesave and 100% Love is all set to set the box office on fire with his latest outing Dhada. The audio of naga Chaitanya’s Forthcoming Dhada launched today at Shilpakala Vedika,Hyderabad. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, lets check out the audio review with out wasting our time..

1. Bhoome Gundranga

Lyricist: Rama Jhogaya Sastry

This is a techy song composed in western style.. If visuals are good it is a highlight of the movie. Singers made the song more stylish by singing it in telglish rather singing it in normal way. Richard is decorous with his vocalisms. Nice start 🙂

2. Hello Hello

Lyricist: Ananth Sriram

Song reminds you of DSP’s earlier tracks (Like, Baby He Loves you from Aarya2)..But, it has all the elements to entertain you.. Anantha Sriram’s lyrics are sure to engross the youth groups, especially the romantic buffs. A soft romantic duet too magnetizing with the scales shifting between major and minor scales…. DeviSri Prasad has shown keen interest on the instrumentals of his usual choral styles. The singers (Nikhil D Souza & Neha Bhasin) have done a splendid job.

3. Telugu Bengali

Lyricist: Ananth Sriram

The first interlude probably could have been a bit more energetic, the second one is good. The end of the lyrics are good. But the main problem is that somehow it lacks appeal, and the lyrics sound like we have heard it before. Otherwise, it is above average and will probably catch on after repeated listening.

4. Godava Godava

The interludes are ordinary and the song falls flat overall. Though there is nothing new about the song itself, it is a refreshing listen.This song will be popular especially if the movie is successful.

5.Diwali Deepaanni

Lyricist: Rama Jhogaya Sastry

Rama Jogayya Sastry has come up with simple, catchy and entertaining lyrics. Andrea Jeremiah returns with a heavenly singing of this beautiful composition. Her husky voice oozes passion. This is sure to get in your head after one listening. This song surely is a gem in this album. Listen and enjoy!!!

6. Chinnaga Chinnaga

Lyricist: Ananth Sriram

A soft  bit song with unique mix of percussion, It’s nice to hear sagar gentle voice giving the right touch of moody charm to the song. The music as well as lyrics blends well with the tune. Devi Sri Prasad composes this song with very few instruments yet elevates the mood of the situation and carries the tender romantic feel. Even then Its more like a Tv commercial song than a commercial movie song.

7. Ey Pilla Pilla

Lyricist: Rama Jhogaya Sastry

Ey Pilla Pilla starts of well with techy music but pace drops out in the middle. This song doesn’t offer anything new, but Naga Chaitanya’s fans will enjoy it while it lasts. This song grows on you, so be sure to hear it a couple of times to set your feet tapping. (This one reminds me of  Naa Peru Meenakumari From Mallana)

Survi Verdict: Overall, Dhada emphasizes the fact that it is a commercial entertainer. This may not be Devi Sri Prasad’s best album but he has given what the movie requires. However, they might do some catching up as the movie reaches the audience. A crisp album with short and sweet songs. ‘Dhada’ for sure will not disappoint his Akkineni devoted fans.  My Picks are Diwali Deepaanni, Bhoome Gundranga, Ey Pilla Pilla.
