In life, an unrevealed fear we carry is being subjected to the wrath of “Truth.” In fact, God exists in truth, and when we start manipulating it, we start running away from Him, our conscience. When we get to know about this truth and dare to live honestly, we are tested by every situation that pushes us into another abyss of self-pity.
Tatva is all about the perception of our beliefs rather than truthfulness. Karma always strikes big, but what if conscience strikes even bigger? God is none other than conscience. The three chances are nothing but three desperate situations in which we never thought of saving ourselves.
Coming to execution, the sound design has its hits and misses. It could’ve been better, though the background music by KRLKD Sai Teja manages to shine through. The musician deftly incorporates distortions and intricate instruments, adding layers to the visual experience. Both the cinematography and the writing hold the audience’s attention throughout. For a debut director Ruthvik Yelagari, this is a commendable effort, striking a balance between being distinct and consistently engaging.
Featurette Tatva is like a game of snakes & ladders with a tinge of Karma Siddhantham. When you’re given opportunity ladders, you should be aware of snake pits that push you into an abyss. While the lead character represents this, the overly good husband and manipulative wife follow similar patterns. You cannot be good to everyone, and you cannot always manipulate and win. In short, this is the Tatva of life, be yourself but not at the cost of being accountable.
