My Favourites from 2016 World Cinema
This year I had planned to give my faithful, comprehensive and well thought out films of the Year list as I had ever done. Beginning from last year this time, I made every effort to see all new releases, not only in mainstream theaters but also on the art house, festival circuits. I tracked down every title from the Indian/Hollywood Blockbuster to foreign and independent titles and even opened up my viewing habits to encompass the exciting new world of streaming and on demand interest viewing. By this time I had in mind a list that would shine as a beacon of good taste and judgement at the end of the year.
After watching so many movies the good bad and ugly, listing out and limiting them to 10 or 15 has been highly difficult. Bear with me for the length of the list and hope you would find some films that I am recommending here good too. (None in the list are placed in any particular order)
