The ‘Ala Modalaindi’ fame Nani, Hari Priya and Bindu Madhavi starrer comedy movie “Pilla Zamindar” releasing with good expectations today. Lets check out the review for more details..
Story-line: Pilla Zamindar is the story of a young and irresponsible heritor PJ (Nani) of a traditional zamindar family. Money minded mentality changes his behavior in a ODD manner. Even he cancels his year old love for his Money minded mentality . But while family lawyer reading the Document he comes across certain conditions he must full fill to get the FULL property. What are those Conditions? who come across his efforts ? will he succeed in Love life ?? Is the remaining Storyline.
Performances: Nani (as PJ) showed his natural acting once again. Showed every essence and expressions required for this role through his performance. Rao Ramesh (as Rajanna) was BRILLIANT in his character. Hari Priya and Bindu Madhavi were okay in their respective roles, they had nothing much to do in the movie. Ms Narayana, Sameer were good. Nagineedu was decent. Dhanraj, Srinivas Avasarala, Ramesh, Chitram Seenu, Vennala Kishore and Hostel gang provided the much required entertainment to the flick. Meghana Naidu was ravishing.
Technical Treasure: Major asset of the film is cinematography by Sai Sriram. Music by Selva Ganesh is good. Withal, the songs are not properly placed in the film. Dialogues written by Chandra Shekar are good in parts. Esp Loved..,
- Devudu Manishi preminchadaniki manishi echadu vadukovadaniki vasthuvulu ichadu, kani eppudu manishi vasthuvulanu premisthunadu, Manushulanu vadukuntunadu.
- Gelupu em undi ra oka sari prapanchaniki ninu parichayam chesthundi,Oka sari ottami ruchi anubavinchi chudu prapancham ento neku teliyachesthundi..
- Na thatha asthi kanna nenu ekkuva respect ichedi na EGO danine hurt chesav..
- Fight fight ani dialogue kodthav enti ra!!
The funny one-liners are well written. Lyrics by Krishna Chaitanya are decent. Editing by Praveen Pudi is not crisp. Director Ashok selected a different subject and narrated it in his own style, which is fine. Production values by DS Rao are good.
Survi Verdict: First half of the film is entertaining. The tempo in second half slows down a bit but proceedings gets better from pre climax episode. Nani steals the show once again with good performance. Main strengths of the film are Nani, Bits of Comedy and emotional Scenes. On the flipside, Thin and inspired Storyline, Predictable Narration and Songs. Overall, Pila Zamindar worth a watch movie for its entertainment and inherit message.
Tit-Bit: Movie looks like a loosely inspired tale from Korean Flick “A Millionaire’s First Love”.
