Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music. This film is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dabaang. Here we bring you an exclusive review of Gabbar Singh’s songs…
1. Dekho Dekho Gabbar Singh
Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry
Singers: Baba Sehgal, Naveen Madhav
Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry
Singers: Baba Sehgal, Naveen Madhav
DSP kick starts album with Hip Hop introduction song. Looks like Ramajogayya Sastry instead of using INK have filled his pen with Pawan-ism.”Dekho Dekho Gabbar Singh” is a peppy song rendered beautifully by Baba and Naveen. It’s clear and straight message to his fans. This song will be a visual treat. Especially the lines of the first and second stanza will surely make fans go crazy…
“Veedi body steel casing, Veedi naram nylon string, Veedi character khaki dress ke kotha colouring…”
“By birth ye pudindguu yelele, Powerke brandinggu, Highend stylingu yelele, Veedi following ye mind blowinguu…”
2. Aakasam Ammayiaithe
Lyrics: Chandrabose
Singers: Shankar Mahadevan, Gopika Poornima and Chorus
Lyrics: Chandrabose
Singers: Shankar Mahadevan, Gopika Poornima and Chorus
This melody reminds us of “Chaand Sifaarish” from Fanaa. Shankar Mahadevan, Gopika Poornima have intonated with the right feel what’s more necessary for the song. The song doesn’t capture our minds as the previous one, but will have its turn with the visuals. Lyrics by Chandrabose are mediocre.
3. Mandu Baabulam
Lyricist: Sahithi
Singers: Kota Srinivas Rao, Chorus
Lyricist: Sahithi
Singers: Kota Srinivas Rao, Chorus
A folkish song sung by the immensely talented actor Kota Srinivas Rao and party. DSP has tried to get a nice sophisticated feel to the Folk-ish song and has succeeded in that effort. Nice lyrics by Sahithi garu.
4. Pillaa
Lyricist: Devi Sri Prasad
Singers: Vaddepalli Srinivas, Pawan Kalyan
Lyricist: Devi Sri Prasad
Singers: Vaddepalli Srinivas, Pawan Kalyan
Pilla starts with Pawan Kalyan’s vocal and his mark dialogues. Devi Sri Prasad creates a very chirpy atmosphere to the song for which the young and energetic singer (Vaddepalli Srinivas & Pawan Kalyan) render vocals with full of elan. The beats are massy and it would be interesting to watch the Powerstar Pawan Kalyan dancing to this catchy tune. Energetic!!!
5. Dil Se
Lyricist: Bhaskara Bhatla
Singers: Karthik, Shwetha Mohan
Lyricist: Bhaskara Bhatla
Singers: Karthik, Shwetha Mohan
DSP produced funky sounding tune, the two Singers of Karthik and Shwetha Mohan really worked well together and the beats used within the piece is very catchy. The track starts with Chaila Chaila (ShankerDada MBBS) style of instrumentation. Well the whole arrangement of song is sound-ing cool and interesting.
6. Kevvu Keka
Lyricist: Sahithi
Singers: Mamta Sharma, Kushi Murali
Lyricist: Sahithi
Singers: Mamta Sharma, Kushi Murali
Here comes much hyped track of Gabbar Singh “Kevvu Keka” and even its DSP personal favourite track. The Telugu version of ‘munni badnaam hui…’ it tempts you to shake your legs.As it banks entirely on the firm vocals, DSP has utilised his singers (Mamata and Murali) to the best. The item track will be a treat for your eyes, when seen Malaika Aurora moving her sexy curves on-screen. Sahithi lyrics are massy and youthful.
Survi Verdict:
On the whole, This is a decent album by DSP. After Jalsa the expectations were pretty high. DSP could have easily done better. Gabbar Singh is definetly a efficacious audio by energetic DSP. My Picks are Mandu, Pilla, Kevvu Keka and Dekho Dekho Gabbar Singh.
Ur information is good. better to improve.
Thanks Srinu 🙂
