Survi Review: Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider 2 (2012)

Nicolas Cage recapitulates his role as Johnny Blaze in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. In this mettlesome new vision for the character, directed by Neveldine and Taylor (Crank Fame), Johnny is still struggling with his curse as the devil’s chaser– but he may risk everything as he teams up with the leader of a group of rebel monks (Idris Elba) to save a young boy from the devil and possibly free himself of his curse forever. Is he able to do that? Forms the rest of the storyline… Coming to performances Nicolas Cage is the only one who gives a above average performance. Fergus Riorden, Violante Placido, Ciaran Hinds offer below average performances. Technical side David Goyer’s Storyline is okay. Screenplay by Scott M. Gimple, Seth Hoffman and David S. Goyer is slow, predictable and boring in parts. Dialogues are very regular.  Director Neveldine and Taylor’s direction is good in action episodes but he failed in narration. David Sardy music is very loud sometimes very annoying. Brandon Trost’s cinematography is fine. Graphics and Visual effects are very good. Editing by Brian Berdan editing could have been crispier. Ample amount of action episodes were good. Production value is rich. ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ is an attempt to cash in the weakness of folks who got tempted to Ghost Rider Part One. Film falls flat on story front and narration aspect. On a whole, Please Ghost Rider 2 is an avoidable fare.
