Todd Lincoln’s The Apparition (2012) Movie Review

Movie: The Apparition

Director/Writer: Todd Lincoln

Run Time:  82 minutes

Cast: Ashley Greene, Sabastian, Tom Felton. Julianna Guill, Luke Pasqualino.. etc

Young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) – Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural (Tom Felton), but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force. Performances in the film are okay with poor character development. The subject of the film is clinched. But, it still holds the viewers attention, if presented well. Direction is second rate. Dialogues are not up to the mark. Screenplay of the film is very predictable. Narration is flat. Horror in this film does not work. On the whole, The Apparition is schlock. Avoid.
