Dil Se is the Telugu dubbed version of Malayalam movie Violin. This film is directed by Sibi Malayil and Produced by M Lakshmi on S Team Pictures Banner. Nithya Menon and Asif Ali in the lead roles of Dil Se. Musical score by duo Anand Raj and Bijibal.

Coming to the storyline the lives of Angel (Nithya Menon) and her two aunts Annie (Lakshmi Ramakrishnan) and Mercy (Reena Basheer) are changed, when Abey (Asif Ali) walks in, as their renter. After a bout of initial opposition from Angel, romance strikes, and the two fall in love.

Asif Ali looks apt for the role. He needs to improve his performance in comedy scenes. Sreejith Ravi looks out of place in the goon character as it’s not fully built up. Heroine Nitya Menon is extremely good and beautiful. Lakshmi Ramakrishnan and Reena Basheer were fine in their characters. Vijayaraghavan was supportive.

Director Sibi Malayil failed to narrate the emotional drama in the film. He tried to show that all the characters are good in their own way. Screenplay of the film is very soggy and drilling. Narration in this film is sluggish. He inserted too many unnecessary songs to make this film appear like a musical entertainer. Music by Anand Raj and Bijibal is okay. Dialogues are middling. Cinematography is worth praising in this boring film. The art work is fine. The production values are good.

Survi Verdict: First half of the film is boring and the second half is pathetic. This film does not offer anything new, Cinematography, couple of songs and Nithya Menon are the only saving grace in this film. Don’t know how producers zeroed in this project and started dubbing, when they already knew original (Malayalam version) fared poorly. Skip it in Theaters..
