Hugo(Asa Butterfield) who is busy trying to find parts for a mechanical doll that his dad(Jude Law) left him. Living in the clock tower of a train station, he must avoid the station inspector(Sacha Baron Cohen) who will turn him over to an orphanage if he is caught. The parts he collects will lead him on a quest to a wonderful discovery. Performances were just spectacular. Ben Kingsley given LIFE to his character, and both Asa Butterfield and Chloe Grace Moretz were amazingly SPLENDID. I used amazingly because the acting I witnessed from these two kids was nothing short of magnificence. Cinematography is BEAUTIFUL and watching in in 3D will be thrilling feeling (Indian rel. March 16) , Scorsese is best in shooting from angles , he makes things look cinematography stunning , Background Music throughout the movie SUIT every scene . Martin Scorsese picture aims to please everyone, but this one divides. Where adults rate it thumbs up , kids may only like the first. The only real problem I had with the film was that at times it getscould get tad too boring, but that doesn’t stop the fact that this is a great film both TECHNICALLY and original STORY-LINE. SCORSESE has proved, once again that he is master of FILM MAKING. Overall, its not as great as predictated but its Original and Entertaining. As anticipated (My Oscar Predictions) HUGO got appreciated by Academy and won 5 OSCARS (in 2012) . Go for it..
