Nenu Nanna Abaddam a story about two teenagers Kiran (Nandu) and Abhi (Divya). Kiran son of a cobbler, who manages studying and remaining time he takes care of the shop. Abhi (Divya) who works in a Zamindar Family and studies in the same college of Kiran. They fall in love and abhi’s father cannot accept his daughter loving a poor guy. He tries to get her married for another rich man’s son.. Abhi forces Kiran to take her away from home. They reach Annavaram. Did they get married? Did their parents support their love? Forms the rest of the storyline.
The role that Nandu has played is in very much his domain. So he does it with convincing manner. Nandu delivers it with full marks. Ramesh, Dhanraj were entertaining. SriLekha in a small role is okay. New Comer Divya is so natural that she pulls off the character with ease, but her characterization looks inspired from Amala Paul’s role in Prema Khaidi. Prakash Bradwaj was one of the biggest blunder for the movie his mannerisms and dialogue delivery were just irritating. Krishnudu, Darmavarapu Subramanyam, Krishna Bhagwan were wasted.
Having been shot in a village, the movie doesn’t show off any wowing scenes, but the green carpet and rural beauty was captured affably. Cinematography is appealing, while Chinni charan’s background just gave life to the whole film. I must say, music is the only asset of Nenu Nanna Abaddam. Story of the film has a different point in it. It requires very tight screenplay and smooth handling of emotions to narrate such a delicate story. Narration of the film is pretty slow and screenplay is not good. Direction of the film is OK in parts. Even director tries to Copy scenes (sorry) inspired a lot from Premisthe and Prema Khaidi. Even kept two to three scenes similar to Prema Khaidi. The Pre Climax Episode recalls us of Premisthe climax but luckily director ended it differently. The dialogues were good in parts. Few scenes could have been easily trimmed off to increase the speed of the proceedings towards the end.
First half of the film is a bit draggy with a bit of entertainment. The second half is too serious for a regular Telugu film goer to take in, But climax is good. It is like watching a raw Tamil film by a Tollywood director. Plus points of the film are Chinni charan’s Music, lead Performances, cinematography and bits of comedy. The negative points of the film are slow narration and lack of allround approach in screenplay. When one selects such a warm story, it is very much important to establish the emotions. The emotions in this film are not established well. Overall, you may watch this film at your leisure for the nice storyline it posses.
