Survi Review: 2/5
Abhimanyu (Rana) is a sharp shooter and turns as a professional killer, who has a dark past. Meenakshi (Ileana) works in a coffee shop but shoots videos of people who commits suicides and uploads them on Youtube. Abhimanyu sees Meenakshi and falls for her in the first sight and then on follows her. What were the duo pasts? Why does Meenakshi shoot and uploads the videos in youtube forms the crux of the story.
Rana tried a lot to get into the skin of the character and succeeded too but he needs to work little more for the facial expressions. Ileana had a bigger role to play and she managed to perform really well. She was well dressed and extremely Beautiful in the movie black costumes fit very well to her beautiful face. Subba Raju has played a full-length role in the film as a Police officer and he has done a decent job. Abhimanyu Singh, voice complimented the character well, that he enacted. Comedy between Ali & Mumaith Khan’s is irritating and painful to watch.
Cinematography (Amol Rathod) becomes the top notch. The theme chosen by Puri is good but he failed to craft it well. But he’s letdown by the screenplay. Dialogues save the film entirely. I must say that the highpoint of the film are the dialogues. Narration was pacy in first half but second half is dragged. Music from Vishwa and Rahman isn’t that effective, but background score by Anup Ruebens is praise worthy.
Back Ground Music
Movie is strong in first 40 minutes or so, later constant running around different things is a bit tedious.Second half is too slow. The basic idea of Puri Jagannath is good with a new thought but the movie failed totally in its execution. Neither does it turn out to be real cinematic experience nor does it pass come up as paisa vasool romantic thriller. But overall it is an unacceptable movie, not worth your ticket. Skip it in theatres.
PS: Killing yourself is a smaller crime when compared to killing your valuable time watching this movie.
